Irene Sultana, a popular actress and model, has returned to the spotlight after leaving her IT job. From 2021 to 2023, Irene worked at an IT firm in Dhanmondi, Dhaka. However, her passion for acting drew her back to the screen.

At the start of 2024, Irene resumed her acting career by starring in the ATN Bangla drama series Smritir Alpana Aki, directed by Murad Parvez. In this series, she plays the role of Tropo, a character that reignited her love for acting.

New Projects and Future Plans Irene has been busy shooting new episodes for the drama and will be back on set on August 30. Alongside acting, she has recently appeared in two advertisements, one for the Water Development Board aimed at raising disaster awareness, and another for an oil brand, directed by Sony Rahman.

Reflecting on her return, Irene shared that despite working for three years in IT, her passion for acting never faded. She couldn’t resist the allure of the camera and decided to leave her job. The opportunity to work on Smritir Alpana Aki came just as she resigned, marking her return to the acting world.

Irene’s last film was Kagoj, currently streaming on Deepto Play. She began her film career in 2013 with Bhalobasa Zindabad and has starred in multiple films since then, including Time Machine and U-Turn.
