Milk Snake Safely Released into Cox’s Bazar Forest

A 5-foot-long milk snake was released into the Shamlapur forest area of the Teknaf Hwaikyong range in Cox’s Bazar, following a swift rescue operation by local authorities.

Discovery and Rescue

On Saturday afternoon, local resident Mizanur Rahman spotted the snake near his home and promptly alerted the authorities. The Forest Department, along with members of VCF and VCZ, quickly responded to the call.

Release into the Sanctuary

By 4 PM, the milk snake was safely released into the wildlife sanctuary of the Shamlapur-Hwaikyong hills. The release was overseen by Shamlapur Bit Officer Sohel Rana, with key officials like Amir Mohammad Shahjahan, President of Shamlapur VCF and VCZ, and Khairul Bashar, President of CPG, in attendance.
