Dhaka, Wednesday, August 28, 2024—In a diplomatic gesture, Golam Mohammad Quader, Chairman of the Jatiya Party, welcomed Singapore’s outgoing Chargé d’Affaires, Sheila Pillai, newly appointed Chargé d’Affaires Michelle Lee, and Thijs Hooidstra, Deputy Chief of Mission for the Netherlands, along with Political and Press Officer Ms. Namia Akhtar, to his Uttara residence today.

During the meeting, the delegation discussed Bangladesh’s current political landscape and ongoing development initiatives with Mr. Quader. The Jatiya Party Chairman emphasized that Bangladesh’s relationship with its development partners would continue to strengthen in the coming days. Following the discussions, the diplomats joined Mr. Quader for a luncheon, where they expressed their gratitude for his warm hospitality.
