Display-equipped Ray-Ban smart glasses announced at Meta Connect
Meta used its Connect keynote to debut new Ray-Ban smart glasses with an integrated display and longer battery life, positioning the devices as a mainstream step in wearable computing. The company emphasised on-device AI features and developer tools designed to let apps run without constant phone pairing.
Meta framed the launch as an effort to normalise mixed-reality wearables while addressing battery and privacy criticisms that hampered earlier models. Analysts said supply partnerships with optical manufacturers and clearer developer APIs could be decisive for adoption beyond early adopters.
