Science Fair 2025 in Noyonpur: A Celebration of Young Scientists’ Creativity

Gazipur, November 8, 2025:

A day-long science fair and discussion event was held in Noyonpur, Gazipur Sadar Upazila, jointly organized by Kochi-Kacha Academy, Iqbal Siddiqui School & College, and Noyonpur NS Ideal School. The entire campus came alive with the display of local students’ innovative ideas and creativity.

Inauguration and Guests’ Presence

The 10th annual science fair, held on Saturday, was inaugurated by Mr. Md. Shawkat Siddiqui, President of Iqbal Siddiqui Education Society and Chairman of the College Governing Body. The special guest was Mr. Omar Faruk, former lecturer of the college.

The program was presided over by Mr. Shawkat Siddiqui, with lectures conducted by Ms. Shahana Akter Shila, Lecturer, and Ms. Rowshan Ara Rumi, Assistant Teacher.

At the beginning of the event, one minute of silence was observed in honor of the late Principal Iqbal Siddiqui.

Speeches and Inspirational Messages

The chief guest, Dr. Selim Sheikh, Deputy PMG of the Ministry of Posts, Telecommunications and Information Technology of Bangladesh, urged young students to expand their scientific curiosity and innovative thinking.

Other speakers included special guest Mr. Omar Faruk, chemist and columnist Mr. Saeed Chowdhury, and administrative officer Mr. Mithun Siddiqui.
The welcome speech was delivered by the event convener, Mr. Sujon Kumar Sarkar.

Competition Results: Top Three in Groups A, B, and C

Group A:

  • 1st Place: “Smart” team led by 4th grader Farisa Safiyana with the project Rain Water Harvesting and Purifying.
  • 2nd Place: “Green” team led by 2nd grader Muntahina Afrin Tanha with the project Green House.
  • 3rd Place: “Newton” team led by 4th grader Loknath Mondal with the project Modern City.

Group B:

  • 1st Place: “Technology” team led by 6th grader Muntasir Islam with the project High Security System with Generating Technology.

  • 2nd Place: “Galaxy” team led by 8th grader Nusrat Jahan Prarthi with the project Pollution Working Model.
  • 3rd Place: “Super Six” team led by 6th grader Md. Al Muktdir Tasin with the Special House project.

Group C:

  • 1st Place: “Mission Hexa” team led by 11th grader Sakib Al Mahmud with the project Smart Village and Safety Device.
  • 2nd Place: “The Codex” team, led by 9th grader Asifur Rahman Arnob, with the project Speed Director.
  • 3rd Place: “Prottay” team led by 11th grader Fatema Jannat Saraba with the project Plastic Waste Management.

Prize Distribution and Closing Ceremony

At the closing ceremony of the day-long fair, prizes were distributed among the winners of the quiz and project competitions.

Chief guest Dr. Selim Sheikh and chairman Mr. Md. Shawkat Siddiqui handed over the awards to the winners.

All participating young scientists received certificates of appreciation, while the guests were presented with commemorative crests.

Participation and Exhibits

A total of 420 students from the three participating institutions took part in the fair.
