Deep Condolences of BNF President S. M. Abul Kalam Azad on the Passing of BNP Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia

The President of Bangladesh Nationalist Front (BNF), former Member of Parliament of Dhaka-17 constituency, and valiant Freedom Fighter of the Liberation War, S. M. Abul Kalam Azad, has expressed profound sorrow and grief at the passing of Begum Khaleda Zia, Chairperson of Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP), former successful Prime Mini-ster, and one of the key pioneers of multi-party democracy in Bangladesh.

In a condolence message, he stated that with the demise of Begum Khaleda Zia, the nation has suffered an irreparable loss. She remains an unforgettable name in the history of Bangladesh’s democratic movement. Her uncompromising and courageous leadership in the anti-autocracy movement, the restoraion of parliamentary democracy, and the protection of the country’s independence and sovereignty will be remembered forever.

He further noted that Begum Khaleda Zia’s political foresight, sacrifice, and lifelong dedication to democracy will continue to inspire future generations.

S. M. Abul Kalam Azad prayed for the eternal peace and forgiveness of the departed soul and expressed his deepest sympathy to the bereaved family members, leaders and activists of BNP, and the people of the country. He also prayed to Almighty Allah to grant her Jannatul Ferdous.
