Trump Alleges Xi Jinping Is in Anti-US Conspiracy with Putin and Kim

US President Donald Trump has accused Chinese President Xi Jinping of joining forces with Russia’s Vladimir Putin and North Korea’s Kim Jong-un in a conspiracy against the United States.
On Wednesday, China held the largest Victory Day parade in its history in Beijing, showcasing military strength and hosting top world leaders. Putin and Kim were both in attendance, along with 26 heads of state in total. Analysts noted that their presence, despite opposition from Western nations, carried a clear political message.
Posting on Truth Social, Trump wrote: “During your anti-US conspiracy, please give my warmest regards to Vladimir Putin and Kim Jong-un.”
Earlier in Beijing, Putin had described China-Russia relations as “unprecedented,” while Kim Jong-un attended the ceremony with his daughter.
Trump’s remarks, however, showed signs of hesitation. While he accused Xi of conspiring on social media, he told the BBC in an interview that he does not believe China and its allies are forming an anti-US alliance.
In his words: “No, not at all. China needs us. Much more than we need them.” He added, “I have a good relationship with President Xi. But I don’t see any conspiracy.”
In his post, Trump also referred to World War II, writing: “On China’s march to victory and glory, many Americans gave their lives. Their courage and sacrifice deserve full honor.” The parade was held to mark the 80th anniversary of Japan’s surrender and the end of the war.
In a radio interview, Trump expressed no concern about closer ties between Russia and China. He said: “America has the strongest military in the world. They will never take military action against us. That would be the biggest mistake of their lives.”
On Ukraine, however, Trump admitted he was “very disappointed” in Putin. He said their meeting in Alaska last month failed to produce any peace deal on the war. “I am disappointed in President Putin,” Trump said. “But we will do something for the Ukrainian people so that they can live better.” He did not elaborate further.
China has so far refrained from criticizing Russia’s invasion of Ukraine. Western governments allege that Beijing is aiding Moscow through arms supplies and oil purchases, though China denies these claims.
Meanwhile, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky warned that Russia is redeploying troops to different parts of the front line. In his nightly address, he said: “[Putin] absolutely refuses to come to peace.”
