Cocktail Explosion in Front of International Crimes Tribunal in Dhaka, Police Launch Investigation
Explosion in Dhanmondi at Night
An explosion of a crude bomb, locally known as a cocktail, occurred in front of the International Crimes Tribunal (ICT) in Dhaka’s Dhanmondi area. The incident took place around 8:30 p.m. on Tuesday (November 11) near the tribunal’s main gate.
Following the explosion, panic spread throughout the area. Fortunately, no injuries were reported, according to police sources.
Police Statement and Investigation Progress
Assistant Commissioner (AC) Shah Mostafa Tariquzzaman of the Dhanmondi Zone stated that the explosion occurred in front of the Investigation Agency office of the International Crimes Tribunal, located in Dhanmondi 11/A.
He added, “No one was injured in the blast. We have collected CCTV footage from the scene and are working to identify those who may be involved.”

Security Measures Strengthened
Immediately after the incident, additional police personnel were deployed in and around the Dhanmondi area. Surveillance has been tightened around the tribunal to ensure heightened security.
