Tinni’s Tribute: Celebrating Runa Laila with Timeless Classics

Celebrated Bangladeshi singer Kaniz Khadija Tinni is set to captivate audiences with a special performance on ATN Bangla’s musical show, “ATN Music.” This episode, airing on November 17 at 12:20 a.m., is a heartfelt tribute to the legendary Runa Laila on her birthday.

Tinni will open the show by performing Runa Laila’s timeless classic, “Mon Chai Protidin Tumi Ami Ekdin,” a song from the film Manoshi written by Gazi Mazharul Anwar and composed by Anwar Parvez. Sharing her excitement, Tinni expressed deep admiration for Runa Laila, describing her as a lifelong inspiration.

“I’ve always looked up to Runa Laila Ma’am,” said Tinni. “Meeting her for the first time in 2022 remains one of the most memorable moments of my life. To perform her songs on this special occasion is a dream come true.”

A Musical Journey

Tinni’s career began with her participation in the reality show “Channel i Serakantho,” which served as a platform for her rise to fame. Over the years, she has gained recognition for her soulful voice, performing on numerous stages and TV shows.

For this special episode, Tinni will also sing classics by Ayub Bachchu, Khalid, and Kumar Bishwajit, including “Haste Dekho Gaite Dekho,” “Jodi Himaloy,” and “Jekhanei Simanto Tomar.” The musical ensemble includes Samu on lead guitar, Kaiyum on keyboard, Pulak on drums, and Zahid on bass guitar.

Tinni expressed her gratitude to ATN Music’s producer Nandita Apa for the opportunity to honor Runa Laila. “I pray for Runa Ma’am’s health and happiness. She is a treasure for all of us,” she said.
