Martyr Dr. Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University. A National Purity Training Workshop was held today, Wednesday 12th June 2024, at Milton Hall. Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University Honorable Vice-Chancellor Dr. Prof. Dr. Deen Mohd. Noorul Huq. Chaired by the Director of Institutional Quality Assurance Cell and the President of Purity Action Plan Implementation Committee Professor Dr. Jasmine Banu.

Honorable Vice-Chancellor (Administration) Professor Dr. Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University was present as a special guest. Cheif Uddin Ahmed, Vice-Chancellor (Research and Development) Professor Dr. Md. Moniruzzaman Khan, Vice-Chancellor (Academic) Professor Dr. Mohammad Atiqur Rahman (Prof. Dr. Mohammed Atiqur Rahman). The former chairman of the department of palliative medicine was the resource person. Nizamuddin Ahmad. Additional Director of Institutional Quality Assurance Cell and Focal Point of Annual Performance Agreement Implementation Committee Dr. Tariq Reza Ali attended the workshop attended by Dean of the University Professor Dr. Mohammad Ali Asgar Moral, Dean Professor Dr. Abu Nasar Rizvi, Register Professor Dr. ABM Abdul Hannan, Proctor Professor Dr. Habibur Rahman Dulal and other department chairmen and teachers.

In the speech of the chief guest Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University Honorable Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. Dean Md. Nurul Haque said, we know the conduct and excellence that is influenced by ‘morality and honesty’ as purity. Purity refers to adherence to the black standards, principles and customs of a society. Purity at the individual level means dutifulness and honesty, that is, integrity of character. In the current context, there is a multi-faceted discussion about the implementation of the reform strategy in the service sector. Establishing good governance to prevent chaos, irregularities, dishonesty and immoral practices and maintaining integrity in suppressing corruption is very important. The service sector of the country is at the center of all the development and prosperity of the state.

There can be no hope of prosperity and development without the establishment of order, good governance and, above all, morality. If there is no practice of purity, chaos, irregularity, and corruption soon take root. As a result, the prosperity and development process is under severe threat. The Honorable Vice-Chancellor also said that the role of national morality is undeniable in Bangabandhu’s determination to build Sonar Bangla as a supporting strategy for the overall initiative in establishing good governance for increasing transparency and accountability at all levels, ensuring appropriate use of resources and developing institutional capacity.
