Passenger Arrested After Boarding Wrong EasyJet Flight at Manchester Airport

A flight at Manchester Airport experienced delays when a man mistakenly boarded a Milan-bound EasyJet flight on Friday evening. According to EasyJet, the passenger was supposed to be on a different EasyJet flight but accidentally gained access to the wrong aircraft.

Security Procedures Activated
As a precaution, all passengers were required to disembark the plane for additional security checks, adhering to standard protocol. Greater Manchester Police (GMP) confirmed that the individual boarded the flight without the necessary documentation.

No Threat Detected
Following thorough inspections, authorities found no suspicious items onboard, and there were no indications of a terror-related incident. An EasyJet spokesperson stated, “Safety and security is our highest priority, and we will collaborate with our ground partner at Manchester Airport to investigate how the passenger boarded the flight.”

Arrest and Charges
GMP reported that a man in his twenties was arrested on suspicion of attempting to conceal himself with the intent of being transported on an aircraft without consent, as well as causing public nuisance.

EasyJet has stated they are unable to provide further information while the investigation is ongoing.
