Aliakbar Mohammad Amin, 24, from Lilburn, Georgia, was arrested on charges of sending interstate threats targeting Tulsi Gabbard, the Director of National Intelligence, and her family. Between March 29 and April 1, Amin sent violent messages, including threats of death and violence against Gabbard and her husband. The FBI investigation revealed additional threats on social media, including firearms aimed at images of the couple. Amin, who was found with a firearm during a search, faces federal charges under Title 18, United States Code, Section 875(c). He is currently detained awaiting trial.
